Task

  • Expand touchpoints by introducing a mobile app to improve the customer experience

Realization

  • Design of a mobile application meeting the challenges posed by the Adler target group (average age > 60) by offering innovative functionalities like customer-driven controlling of credit balance redemption at the POS
  • Implementation of a hybrid application (individual solution) for the two operating systems iOS and Android including integration of the online shop and customer card as well as App Store handling
  • Integration of a customer engagement tool controlling push notifications, including location-based features
  • Design and implementation of the mobile contact strategy
  • Operation, further development and optimization through regular feature enhancements and releases

Success

  • Successful go-live of the mobile application in March 2017
  • Acceptance of the mobile app by Adler customers despite resistance to adopting new technologies
  • Increased user activity and relevance in the online business
